Warning Description: Winter Storm Warning

Warning Date: 3:46 PM CST on February 8, 2010

WarningSum:...Winter Storm Warning Remains In Effect From Midnight Tonight
To 6 Am Cst Wednesday...

Warning Message:A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from midnight tonight to
6 am CST Wednesday. 
* Timing...snow will overspread southeast Wisconsin by late this
  evening. A long duration snow is then expected through Tuesday
  night.
* Snow accumulations will range from 10 to 14 inches by late
  Tuesday night. The heaviest snow will fall Tuesday and Tuesday
  night. 
* Winds...brisk northeast to north winds will develop Tuesday
  afternoon with wind gusts to 30 mph or more. Blowing and
  drifting snow will become widespread Tuesday afternoon and
  night. Near blizzard conditions are expected.  
* Impacts...heavy snow accumulations and a relatively dry powdery
  snow will make for hazardous travel...especially Tuesday
  afternoon and night...when blowing and drifting snow will become
  widespread. Near blizzard conditions are expected. 
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected. Significant amounts of snow are
forecast...along with blowing and drifting that will make travel
hazardous. If you are traveling...keep an extra flashlight...
food...and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
