Warning Description: Dense Fog Advisory
Warning Date: 9:35 PM CST on March 8, 2010
WarningSum:...Dense Fog Advisory Remains In Effect Until 10 Am Cst Tuesday...
Warning Message:A dense fog advisory remains in effect until 10 am CST Tuesday.
* Visibility...has dropped to one quarter mile or less.
* Impacts...reduced visibility will make for difficult travel
tonight through the morning commute.
* While the fog is expected to linger into the morning hours...
more wind and a bit more mixing in the atmosphere is expected
early tomorrow morning in far southern Wisconsin. This may help
to alleviate the dense fog in some locations...especially in the
southwest part of Wisconsin...with the rest of southern
Wisconsin improving around the mid-morning hours.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving...slow down...
use your headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

for Monday and Tuesday...
the Wisconsin department of natural resources has issued an air
quality advisory for particle pollution in effect until noon
Tuesday.
The air quality index has reached the Orange level which is
considered to be unhealthy for people in sensitive groups
including children...elderly people...individuals with respiratory
and cardiac problems...or anyone engaged in strenuous outdoor
activities for a prolonged period of time.

An air quality watch is remains in effect through 11 PM Tuesday
night.
Weather conditions over Wisconsin will continue to be favorable
for elevated concentrations of fine particles. Light winds will
keep dispersion of pollutants to a minimum. It is likely that
particle pollution concentrations will reach unhealthy levels for
people in sensitive groups across the southern two thirds of the
state.
